About Leo
Leo is a multi-faceted person with a diversity of knowledge, skills, education and training. Through a series of unexpected and urgent response situations, he has cultivated an enhanced awareness of himself, the environment, and trained himself to respond quickly, calmly and efficiently to a wide range of potential challenges and threats. In his early years, he also began extensive training in a diversity of martial arts and self-defence. As an adult he was trusted with body-guarding, cash-guarding and conducted training for both the RCMP and Canadian Military. His teachers have been of the highest caliber, descendant of Masters such as Bruce Lee, or a Commando in the British Royal Marines. Professionally, he is adept at numerous trades for oil and gas industries, working over two decades as a journeyman welder, steamfitter, heavy equipment operator, rope access technician and more. He is grounded, practical and amicable, a character of strength, confidence and aptitude.
By nature, he is a protector of the people and his passion lies in educating and empowering them to develop their alertness, readiness and adaptability to rapidly changing and uncertain times. His unique peace of mind has been hard won over time, and it is in large part due to his “prepper’s mind set”, equipped with broad spectrum of knowledge of various life and survival skills. He is ready to pass his knowledge and training on to support communities anywhere and everywhere as he sees imminent need now.
Leo’s Training
Practiced martial arts for 25 years and taught for 20 years. His primary training in ‘Jeet Kung Do’ was taken with Larry Hartsel, student of Bruce Lee. Later he expanded his training to Kali, the Filipino martial art, Brazilian Jujitsu, Japanese Shoot Wrestling, and Russian Sambo.

Also trained in “close protection” as a bodyguard under the late Andy Bradsell who was a member of the Diplomatic Protection Squad and British Royal Marines whom protected Princess Diana.
Certified in PPCT (Pressure Points Control Tactics) as a Defensive Tactics Instructor, learned in handguns, handcuffing, weapon retention and ‘use of force’ techniques which are the legal methods of self-defence.
Young Leo had training in the Fire Brigade and later-day training in First Aid.
Leo’s Experience
Conducted pre-deployment training for RCMP and Canadian Military in hand to hand combat techniques.
Worked as a trusted Armed Guard for cash transport for the five major Canadian Banks.
Has 20 years education and experience across a number of trades in industrial environments: Heavy Equipment Operator (five types), 3r year steam fitter, Journeyman Welder, and in three kinds of Industrial Rescue: Rope Access, High Angle and Confined Space Rescue. He also has Poisonous Gas Training (H2S) and completed a thousand hours using SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus), the fire fighter protocol.
